Mike served as a pastor for over 15 years in Arkansas, Texas and Virginia and now devotes his time to finishing his Ph.D. and teaching. He holds two undergraduate degrees in Bible and ministry from Harding University in Searcy, AR. Mike also received a M. A. in theology from Harding University Graduate School of Religion in Memphis, TN, and an M.Div. from Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, TX. He has been the recipient of numerous academic and biblical languages awards. He is currently a doctoral fellow in the School of Communication & the Arts at Regent University. Mike married his high school sweetheart, Theresa, in 1991. Together they have one son—Ryan, and two daughters—Britnie and Meleah. Meleah is currently overcoming osteosarcoma bone cancer and you can learn about her inspiring journey at her Caringbridge site. Mike's son has a degenerative muscle disease called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The family has done much charity work for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and has served as a goodwill ambassador family.
